This was my first time in my entire life seeing someone in a coffin. It was really a difficult and emotional experience. Initially, it’s a bit hard for me to come to terms with the reality of death and the finality of loss. However, it is also an important step in the grieving process, as it allows us to say goodbye and begin to accept the loss.
When viewing someone in a coffin, it can be overwhelming to take in the sight of them looking so still and peaceful. It can be difficult to reconcile this image with the vibrant person we knew. It may also be hard to process the fact that this person is no longer alive and will never be able to speak or move again. However, it is important to remember that the person in the coffin is not really gone. They live on in our memories and the love that they shared with us. Seeing them in a coffin is a reminder that death is a part of life and that our time on earth is finite.
During the last two days of my time, I think and experienced quite a bit. Thus, I would like to express my feelings and come to terms with the grief.
Death, the great equalizer,
Comes for us all in time.
A thief in the night,
Stealing life from the living.
We mourn for what could have been,
For dreams left unfulfilled.
We grieve for the laughter and love,
Now forever stilled.
But death is not the end,
For memories live on.
In every smile and every tear,
Our loved ones live on.
So let us not fear death,
But embrace it with grace.
For in death, we are reunited,
In a final resting place.
And though our time on earth is brief,
Our spirits will endure.
For in death, we find eternal life,
And forevermore.
This is a reminder to cherish the time we have with our loved ones and to make the most of every moment. Remember that the person we lost will always be with us in our memories and the love they shared.
